Overview

As Senior Product Designer, I led the development of Costa Coffee's latest global digital product, ensuring it met brand standards and user expectations. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, I contributed to enhancing consistency and user experience across all digital platforms. Additionally, I implemented a new calorie system on the Costa Coffee App, empowering customers to make informed choices. Our introduction of a new gamification experience resulted in notable outcomes: increased new app consumers, registrations, and overall engagement.

Leading the entire journey from initial discovery and  research to high fidelity design and seamless implementation, I played a pivotal role in driving the development of Costa Coffee's latest global digital product. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, I fostered an environment of collaboration and innovation to ensure every aspect of the product met our high standards and aligned perfectly with the users expectations.

Calorie counter

With over 6 million active Costa Club members and a robust digital innovation plan, I led the implementation of a new calorie system on the Costa Coffee App. In response to new UK government guidelines, this initiative aimed to empower users to make informed choices about their food and drink. Throughout the project, I collaborated closely with legal experts, stakeholders, product manager, and developers to ensure compliance and enhance user experience. Together, we delivered a seamless solution that met regulatory requirements and prioritized user accessibility.

Gamification Experience

The new gamification experience delivered impressive results across multiple metrics. We saw a +12% increase in new app consumers, signalling heightened interest and adoption among our target audience. Registrations surged by +14%, indicating enhanced user engagement with the app. Furthermore, overall engagement rose by 20%, demonstrating active participation in our gamified experiences. 

Rebrand

I collaborated with the design team, managers, and stakeholders to swiftly implement a unified offline and online brand transformation across all digital platforms. I ensured consistency with Costa's recognized look and feel while preserving the existing user experience.
